Wichita State University (WSU) is a public research university in Wichita, Kansas. The university offers more than 100 bachelor's and master's degree programs through its nine schools and colleges. The university has its Main Campus in northeast Wichita and six satellite campuses in Downtown Wichita and Kansas.
The 330-acre main campus mixes cutting-edge facilities and ivy-covered brick in a park-like setting. The classrooms and student housing are just a few steps away from restaurants, coffeehouses, sports facilities, and cultural attractions.
The university’s libraries have more than 2 million volumes, 200 electronic databases, and more than 70,000 journal subscriptions. The university provides students with three residence options - Shocker Hall, The Suite (suite-style residence), and The Flats (apartment-style flats). Shocker Hall is home to 800 first-year students. The Suites is a 220-bed residence hall. The Flats is located in the heart of the Innovation Campus, consists of 1, 2, 3, & 4 bedroom apartments, and is dedicated to upper-level students.
Over 240 diverse student clubs provide you with an unforgettable experience. WSU is a member of NCAA Division I and competes in the American Athletic Conference and fields teams in men's baseball and women's volleyball and softball and tennis, basketball, track, and golf.
