Washington State University (WSU) is a public research university in Pullman, Washington. It is one of the oldest land-grant universities in the American West. WSU has 12 colleges and a graduate school and offers more than 200 fields of study, including 98 majors, 86 minors, and over 140 graduate and professional degrees.
The university operates campuses across Washington known as WSU Spokane, WSU Tri-Cities, WSU Everett, WSU Pullman Campus, Global Campus, and WSU Vancouver. The WSU Pullman campus is perched upon a hill, characterized by open spaces, views, deep green conifers, and a restrained red brick and basalt material palette - materials originally found on the site of construction. Set up in a 620-acre area, the Pullman campus is home to three major libraries - Animal Health, Holland/Terrell, and Owen Science & Engineering Libraries.
WSU's Pullman campus has a variety of student organizations and their committees. Through the Center for Civic Engagement on the Pullman campus, students participate in an estimated 30,000 hours annually of credit and non-credit service activities in the community.
