The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) is a public university in La Crosse, Wisconsin. UWL offers 100 bachelor's, 22 master's, and 2 doctoral programs across five schools and colleges. The main campus of the university is spread across 128 acres in a residential section of La Crosse.
UWL has more than 10 residence halls that provide accommodation to over 3,400 students and staff on campus. The University Library called Murphy Library consists of 6,91,282 books, bound periodicals, and government documents. The library also offers electronic resources, such as journals and databases.
The recreational Eagle Center of the university provides students with recreational facilities. It houses a climbing wall, 200-meter elevated track, two racquetball courts, six basketball courts, ten volleyball courts, three badminton courts, 3 multi-purpose rooms, new 15,000 sq. ft. fitness center, cardiovascular equipment, aerobics studio, conditioning room, locker rooms with showers, outdoor trips, and rental program.
The university's intercollegiate athletic teams, the Eagles, compete in 21 sports, predominately in the NCAA Division III. UWL’s athletic teams won 70 national titles and 388 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships. The university offers over 175 different student organizations in a wide range of pursuits for you to explore and get involved in.
