The University of North Texas (UNT) is a public research university in Denton, Texas. With 106 bachelor's, 88 master's, and 36 doctoral degrees, UNT is the leading university in the North Texas region. The University comprises 14 schools and colleges.
UNT Libraries are made up of four public service points and two remote storage facilities. Willis Library is the main library on campus. The university offers more than 1,000 music concerts, art exhibitions, and dance and theatre events every year.
The university has 15 residence halls providing accommodation to over 5,000 students. All the first-year students are required to live on campus to fulfill the residency requirement. The university is home to Pohl Recreation Center which has Fitness facilities, climbing walls, an indoor track, a lap pool, a leisure pool and spa, and indoor and outdoor basketball and volleyball courts.
The university’s social Greek community is made up of 4 councils that oversee 39 fraternities and sororities. 4% of all the students at UNT are members of social fraternities and sororities. There are more than 400 student organizations where you can get involved, make friends and develop your leadership skills.
