The University of Nebraska, Lincoln (UNL) is a public research university in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is the state's oldest university and the largest in the University of Nebraska system. The university is organized into eight colleges on two campuses in Lincoln with over 100 classroom buildings and research facilities.
The university has three campuses on its 2,815 acres estate - City Campus; Nebraska Innovation Campus, and East Campus. Both City and East campuses include academic and research facilities, libraries, recreation centers, and residential buildings. They are administered as the UNL Botanical Garden and Arboretum, which handles major plantings including Cather Garden on City Campus and Maxwell Arboretum on East Campus.
The university is home to two modern recreation centers and indoor and outdoor climbing/bouldering walls. UNL?????????:?????????s Lied Center for Performing Arts is a performing arts venue used primarily for orchestra concerts and theatre performances, whereas the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center at UNL is a two-screen theater on City Campus and features arthouse and independent films, and documentaries. Its Howell Theatre, Studio Theatre, and Lab Theatre are also home to the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film.
Its Nebraska Innovation Campus is a public/private research campus, located in Lincoln, Nebraska on a 249-acre site in the old Nebraska State Fairgrounds. The first project of this campus is related to agriculture and natural resources.
