The University of Mary Hardin–Baylor (UMHB) is a private Christian university in Belton, Texas. The university campus is large enough to provide a wealth of opportunities and experiences and is one of the safest campuses in the nation. The university offers 119 bachelor and 13 graduate degree programs including 2 doctoral programs through its 8 schools and colleges.
UMHB’s faculty members are engaged in significant publishing and research. Students and faculty collaborate in research laboratories in education, engineering, chemistry, business, exercise and sports science, and the Graduate School.
The university’s Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center is a 40,725-square-foot building that features a 524-seat performance hall with a proscenium stage, fly space, and an orchestra pit. UMHB’s Bawcom Student Union offers state-of-the-art residential dining, retail dining, the campus store, recreation and gathering space for students, and prominent areas for student organizations.
UMHB sponsors 12 varsity athletic programs, 6 men's and 6 women's. The athletic teams are called Crusaders or ‘The Cru’ and they compete in Division III (NCAA) as a member of the American Southwest Conference. The Crusaders have won four national championships and seven national runner-up finishes. UMHB offers more than 50+ student organizations and clubs for you to get involved and pursue your interests alongside academics.
