University of Hartford

The University of Hartford (UHart) is a private university in West Hartford, Connecticut. Spread across seven dynamic schools and colleges, the university offers more than 100 undergraduate and 64 graduate programs. The university is spread across a 350-acre campus alongside Connecticut’s capital city.

The campus location offers plenty of opportunities to explore New England's vibrant culture, cities, beaches, and mountains. The university also has tie-ups with many companies and organizations, making internships and other professional options readily accessible.

The university’s Harry Jack Gray Center houses the Mortensen Library and the Allen Memorial Library. UHart offers student accommodation in four different styles, and all the full-time undergraduate students are required to live on campus. The University of Hartford offers a wide range of sports-related activities, including soccer, flag football, softball, and volleyball.

There are more than 100 student clubs and organizations on campus for you to participate in and have fun alongside academics. The athletic team is called Hartford Hawks. Seventeen teams compete at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the America East Conference.
