The University of Colorado Boulder is a public university established in 1876. The University of Colorado Boulder, or CU Boulder for short, is a 600-acre campus within the city set against the majestic Rocky Mountains. Boulder is a vibrant college town with over 80 miles of biking and walking trails.
Offering over 4000 courses in 150+ areas of study, the university saw a total undergraduate enrollment of 30,300 students In the fall of 2020. CU Boulder is currently the only university in the Rocky Mountain Region to be admitted to the Association of American Universities, an exclusive group of 62 research institutions. The College of Engineering and Applied Science and the School of Education both offer highly regarded graduate programs. Its Law School places a strong emphasis on hands-on learning through clinics, externships, competitions, and pro bono work. According to the National Science Foundation, the university received over $634 million in research funding and spent $536 million on research and development in 2021, ranking it 50th in the country.
The University is located on a 600-acre campus in Boulder (population:103,166); 30 miles from Denver. Major airport, bus, and train serve Denver. School operates transportation to apartment complex, East Campus, and Research Park locations.
