University of California, Irvine

The University of California is a land-grant public university in the Irvine city of California state. It was established in 1965, making it the youngest member of the prestigious Association for American Universities (AAU). It is one of the 10 campuses in the University of California system and is known for its academic achievements, world-leading research and innovation, and its ‘Anteater’ mascot. 

The Irvine campus is known for blowing off people’s minds with its beauty and world-class facilities. At the heart of its campus is Aldrich Park which is a serene botanical garden. It is a very diverse campus with international students from over 87 countries across the world. It has a total of 13 schools that deal with various interdisciplinary programs. 

The University of California, Irvine campus has over 120 research centers and institutions on its campus and is looked after by its own faculty and student body for research assistance. The focus is to facilitate and promote world-class research.

The University is located on a 1,489-acre campus in Irvine (population: 236,716), 40 miles from Los Angeles. Served by bus and train; major airport serves Los Angeles; smaller airport serves Orange County (three miles).
