The University of Arizona

The University of Arizona is a public research university in Tucson city of Arizona state. The university is also commonly known as the U of A or UA. It was founded in 1885 and is the first university to be formed in Arizona state. It offers bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and professional degree courses on a strict 4-point scale. 

It is a land-grant university with two independently accredited medical schools and is one of the top universities in the nation according to the U.S.News and World Report. The main campus consists of over 179 buildings that sit on a 380-acre of land. It has a host of core facilities for research that are available for the students, faculties, and scientists. It consists of the latest instrumentation and cutting-edge facilities. 

The university is also renowned for its research capabilities. It is classified as a Carnegie Foundation University. This means it is a very high research-intensive university. It annually receives approximately $606 million in research funding. The University of Arizona is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU) which is a group of 62 leading universities distinguished by the quality of their research and graduate programs.
