Saint Louis University

Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University (SLU) is one of the oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities in the USA. It is a private Roman Catholic research university located in St. Louis, Missouri. It also has a campus in Madrid, Spain, and is recognized for world-class academics, life-changing research, compassionate health care, and a strong commitment to faith and service. It is the second-oldest Jesuit university in the United States. SLU is home to students from more than 82 countries. 

SLU's campus in Midtown St. Louis is spread over an area of 271 acres and has around 129 buildings. The campus houses 4 libraries with Pius XII Memorial Library being the main library which holds more than 1 million books and other journals and databases. The university also has three museums and an art gallery.

In the past few years, the university has spent close to $840 million on the enhancements and expansions of its campus, including a research center, school of law, basketball training center, and several other buildings.  

Saint Louis University has over 240 student organizations that cover a variety of interests including student government, club sports, organizations focused on media and publications, performing arts, religion, and volunteerism and service. SLU hosts more than 160 sporting events each year.

The University is located on a 270-acre campus in St. Louis (population: 318,416); remote sites in mid-town St. Louis and abroad in Madrid, Spain. Served by air, bus, and train. School operates transportation throughout mid-town campus and many off-campus locations.
