Pennsylvania State University, University Park

Pennsylvania State University is the largest public research university founded in 1855 in Pennsylvania, University Park with a campus size of 7958 acres. The university has around 24 campuses in Pennsylvania along with an Online World Campus. It is among the institutes in the nation accorded with Sea grant, Land grant, Space Grant, and Sun grant status.

The university has about 1000000 students every year and students have different degree options with about 275 undergraduate majors, more than 300 graduate and professional programs along with legs and medical studies. About 16,000 students of the university volunteer in THON which is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world.

The University is located on a 7,264-acre campus at University Park near State College (population: 41,983), 90 miles northwest of Harrisburg; branch campuses in 23 locations. Served by air and bus; major airport serves Harrisburg; train serves Lewistown (35 miles).
