Grand Valley State University is a public liberal arts university located in the Allendale township of Michigan state. It was founded in 1960, and its main campus sits atop a 1322-acre land which is just 20 kilometers from Great Rapids city. It is among America’s 100 most prominent universities, employs over 3000 people, and houses over 25,000 students. Its alumni are from 50 US states, Canada, and over 25 countries worldwide.
While GVSU’s main campus is situated in Allendale, its two satellite campuses are located in its surrounding areas. It is a large and comprehensive university with eight degree-granting colleges that offer over 200 fields, including 82 undergraduate majors, 36 graduate programs, and 74 graduate emphases and certificate programs, including doctoral degrees.
The university enriches society by contributing through excellent teaching, active scholarships, and public services, which is also its mission. Apart from its academic excellence, the university is also known for its research capabilities. Every year, it engages in hundreds of research projects and receives funding from prominent organizations.
