Fairfield University is a private Jesuit university located in Fairfield town of Connecticut. It was initially founded in 1942 by The Society of Jesus, and today it is one of the 28 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities. Its five schools offer 43 majors and 19 minors for undergraduate students, and 41 graduate programs.
It is one of the oldest and most intellectual universities that embrace liberal humanistic approaches to education and fosters ethical and religious values. The university is located just an hour away from New York and is set up on a 200-acre campus that houses 35 buildings. The university is fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
Right from the first year, its faculty and career planning office works with its students to guide them on the right career path. This includes helping with resumes and providing networking options.

The University is located on a 200-acre, suburban campus in Fairfield, CT (population: 60,855), five miles from Bridgeport and 60 miles from New York City. Served by train; major airports serve Hartford and New York City; smaller airports serve New Haven and Westchester (20 miles); bus serves Bridgeport. School operates transportation to town center and Fairfield train station.
