Eastern Kentucky University

Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) is a public university in Richmond city of Kentucky state. It was initially founded in 1874 and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities.

EKU is a regional, coeducational, public institution of higher education that offers general and liberal-arts programs, pre-professional and professional training in education and numerous other fields in over 40 graduate and undergraduate degree programs.

The university is located at the heart of Bluegrass, Richmond city, easily accessible from all parts of Kentucky and other states. EKU is responsible for providing academic and cultural opportunities to develop scholarly and intellectual curiosity habits among its students. The university is dedicated to three functions- high-quality instruction, scholarships, and service. 

The university also offers over 230 clubs and societies for students with similar interests and goals. The clubs range from Greek chapters to political organizations and Student Government Associations to Sports and Athletics. These clubs and organizations routinely hold fundraisers and other programs.
