Clark University is a private research university located in Worcester city of Massachusets state in the US. It was founded in 1887 with large funding from Jonas Gilman Clark, after whom the university is named. It was one of the first modern research universities in the US. It is a privately-funded, coeducational, and non-sectarian and offers 33 bachelor's, 17 master's, 9 doctoral, and certificate programs in a wide range of academic disciplines.
The university was started with a mission to educate undergraduate and graduate students to be imaginative and contributing citizens of the world. Given the complex and rapidly changing societies, the university seeks and pushes its students to meet the challenges. The focus of Clark’s academic program is to enrich its students with a number of academic programs with the help of its scholarly faculty members.
All the tenured faculty of Clark University take part in research and/or creative work through its 7 research centers and institutions, while 100% of its students complete an internship or experiential learning by the time they graduate and this helps them to be job-ready.
Clark’s scientific spaces are equipped with modern technology and state-of-the-art facilities that are designed to encourage collaborative work. Its faculty and student researchers have access to a centralized library and computer facility, including a parallel computing cluster.
The University is located on a 50-acre, urban campus in Worcester (population: 181,544), 50 miles from Boston; branch campus in Framingham. Served by air, bus, and train; major airport serves Boston.
