Baylor University

Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas and affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, Baylor is both the state's oldest institution of higher learning and the world's largest Baptist university. The University is located on a 1,000-acre, suburban campus in Waco (population: 129,030), 90 miles from Dallas-Fort Worth and 105 miles from Austin; nursing branch campus in Dallas. Served by air and bus; train serves McGregor (20 miles).
