Adelphi University

Adelphi University is a private university in New York. It was initially founded in 1896 and is the oldest higher education institution in suburban Long Island. It was only in 1963 that the New York State Board of Regents granted its university status and its name was changed to Adelphi University. 

The university is located in one of the most scenic towns in the Garden City of New York. It offers easy access to New York City with it being just 20 miles from Manhattan. Its satellite centers extend Adelphi’s reach throughout the New York metropolitan region. The University also offers a range of blended online courses for students to acquire knowledge and degree irrespective of their location in the world. 

The university’s courses are upgraded to better fit today’s technology-driven global society and offer wide-ranging courses in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The university also offers a range of services to international students like overseeing international student requirements and degree oversight, providing immigration guidance, and involving them in cross-cultural activities to improve the campus internationalization effort. 

The University is located on a 75-acre, suburban campus in Garden City (population: 22,546), 20 miles from New York City; branch campuses in Huappuage, Hudson Valley, and Manhattan. Served by train; major airports serve New York City; bus serves Hempstead (five miles).
